Professor of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology, Head of the Department of Pathology and Infectious Diseases, Director of the Veterinary Pathology Centre at the University of Surrey

In 2005 Roberto was appointed head of pathogenesis and control at the APHA (formerly AHVLA) and in 2010 he was appointed Professor of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology at the University of Surrey.  He gained the FRCPath in 2010 and in 2012 was appointed the Associate Dean for Veterinary Strategy in the new School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Surrey. In 2014 he was appointed to the position of Head of the Department of Pathology and Infectious Diseases and Director of the Veterinary Pathology Centre.

As well as being the MVNA Treasurer, Arnaud is Project Officer at Agence Nationale de Sécurité Sanitaire (ANSES) in Maisons Alfort, France and supports Anses’ researchers in EU research programmes definition, and monitoring, as well as EU research project set-up and management.

Acts as the Med-Vet-Net Association Project Manager on a part-time basis, supporting the President, Vice President and Treasurer by organising internal research agenda activities and research calls  and Annual Scientific meetings, and acting as a conduit for communication between Governing Board members.
